Agency
Who represents you
Brokerage services in the Bureau One ecosystem are provided by Bureau Real Estate LLC, a licensed real estate brokerage. Bureau One Inc. holds no real estate license and does not represent buyers or sellers. Neither does Bureau Direct LLC, which is a brokerage in development and is not currently licensed.
When Bureau Real Estate represents you, that relationship is put in writing before it begins, and it carries real duties: loyalty to your interests, disclosure of material facts, confidentiality, and reasonable care. Where the brokerage would represent both sides of a transaction, the limits on those duties are explained and consented to in writing first.
Disclosure
What you are told, and when
Disclosure is not paperwork at the end of a transaction. The information that affects a decision is disclosed before the decision is made.
That covers who the brokerage represents, known material facts about a property, how we are paid, and any point at which another Bureau One company has a role in your transaction. Real estate commissions are not set by law and are fully negotiable.
This includes
- Website accessibility standards
- Clear and inclusive communication
- Ongoing evaluation and improvement
- Responsive support for accessibility concerns

Communication
Transparency in communication
Clear communication is essential to trust. Bureau One promotes structured and transparent interactions so that consumers understand each step of the real estate process. We define roles and responsibilities, verify communication practices, and document disclosures with ongoing support throughout the transaction lifecycle.
If something goes wrong
How to raise a concern
Start with your Bureau One professional. Most issues are resolved directly, and usually faster.
Escalate to Bureau One. If it is not resolved, or you would rather not raise it with the person involved, contact compliance@bureau.one. We acknowledge every complaint and tell you who is handling it.
Regulatory options are always open to you. You may contact the real estate regulator in your state at any time, whether or not you have raised the matter with us. Each state’s regulator is listed at bureaurealestate.com/legal/licensing (opens in a new tab). For fair housing concerns, you may contact the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development at hud.gov (opens in a new tab) or the fair housing agency in your state.
Technology
Responsible use of technology
Technology can improve efficiency and clarity, but it must be implemented responsibly. Bureau One applies digital tools and automation in ways that support fairness, transparency, and human oversight.
We focus on
- Ethical implementation of digital tools
- Human oversight and accountability
- Clear explanation of services and processes

Policy precedence
Trust Center pages describe how Bureau One operates. Where anything on a Trust Center page differs from a published policy in the Legal section, the published policy governs.
